[CUSTOM] [ROM] [ICS mod] [NEW!!] NextToICSROM V1.0 for Galaxy Y(GT-S5360)!! (Now fixed!!!! ) 



This rom is actually a themed version of Creed's Rom V2 (also compatible with stock ROM) , but it is EVEN BETTER!!!!!!( Lots of thanks to Pratyush.creed)

New features:

• Replaced launcher with Stock ICS like launcher!!!( HOLO LAUNCHER from Mobint)
• Added ICS circle lock
• All apps like ICS

• Added link2sd ( You can move ALL apps to SD with this app!!!)
• Retains DSP Manager for great sound!!!
• Swype with ICS theme!!!!!!

• Added ICS gallery!!!!! Much, much faster!!!
• Transparent notification panel( from Creed...)
• Contains full ICS ANIMATIONS!!!!....please activate it under settings >display ..because it is turned off to save battery ....:-)
• A BEAUTIFUL Custom ROM, which looks exactly like GALAXY NEXUS!!! YAY!!!!
• Works on S5360DDLA1!
• Completely stable!!!
• [Note: The Android version is displayed as 4.0.4 to complete the look and feel of the ROM. Users should keep in mind that it is actually 2.3.6]

HOW TO INSTALL:

• Root your phone. If already rooted, proceed to the next step.
• Place the three files below to your sd card (NOT IN ANY FOLDER!!!)
• Switch off your phone.
• Go to recovery mode by pressing power button + Volume up + Home button
• Use the volume keys to move up and down.
• Wipe data and cache.
• Now choose: Install zip from sd card.
• Choose NextToICSV1.signed.zip
• Choose "yes"
• It will be Installed. Now reboot your phone.
• Please wait until media scanning is completed.
• Now again switch off and go to recovery mode. DON'T WIPE DATA ANYMORE
• Choose NextToICS Bootanimationfix.zip
• Again reboot.
• Again go to recovery mode. Choose NextToICSROM status toggle zip and reboot.
• And voila!!!! We're done!!!!!!!!!

TROUBLESHOOTING:

Please take notice:

Problem 1:
Some users find that the Swype is force closing, and the absence of gallery and music in App drawer.
If you face this problem, here is what you can do: 

1. Using root explorer, delete Swype.apk from System/app (or) uninstall swype using link2sd.
2. Try looking for play music and gallery ics apk in system /app. If present MOVE them to SD card using root explorer. Tap rw at the top to move. 
3. Reboot.
4. Install the following attached apk's in the post: SwypeICS.apk, and GalleryICS.apk, Google play music. apk or from the apks which you just moved to your SD card. For better performance of play music, again move the apk to System /app...and set permissions to rwrr. (Tick the first two boxes in the first row and the 1st box in the other two rows) and reboot. 
5.Enjoy. 

Problem 2:
ICS Gallery is not working on my phone.

Solution:Have you done it properly? Try again. I've fixed the link. Still if it doesn't work, I'm afraid you will have to install the old Gingerbread Gallery. Copy and paste gallery3D.apk from attachments into System/app using root explorer, set permissions to rwrr and reboot.

Problem 3:
Status Bar does not appear.

Solution: Re Install the ROM from beginning. It happened because the flashing was not done properly.
